Kuban sambists Eduard Arbuzov and Inal Sonov won bronze medals at the All-Russian competitions “Grand Prix in Sambo for the prizes of the Young Guard” in Moscow, the Ministry of Sports of the Krasnodar Territory reported.

The tournament in the capital for the third year in a row brings together young athletes up to 24 years. Watermelon performed in the weight category up to 88 kg, Sonov - up to 71 kg.

Coach Denis Arbuzov noted that the place in the top three winners speaks about the level of training of the athlete. According to him, in recent years, Eduard has been steadily on the pedestal, and the current bronze was the result of a tight competitive schedule.

He also stressed that sambo helps children develop fitness, coordination and self-confidence.
