What is behind the calls of American tech giants to slow down AI

Dario Amodei, co-founder and CEO of the American company Anthropic, developer of the Claude neural network, called for slowing down the creation of the most powerful models of artificial intelligence (AI). He announced this in his blog on September 12. The idea was supported by the founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX Elon Musk and co-founder and CEO of American OpenAI, ChatGPT developer Sam Altman, as well as the head of Google DeepMind Demis Hassabis.
