Operators told how much faster 5G LTE
The speed of mobile Internet after the launch of networks of the fifth generation (5G) increased by an average of 15-30% compared to LTE, follows from the data of telecom operators and experts polled by Vedomosti. This increase corresponds to the current stage of 5G deployment, the Ministry notes. Networks now operate in Non-Standalone (NSA) transition mode, i.e. using frequencies that previously operated LTE networks. In the future, 5G will run in Standalone (SA) mode – without using LTE infrastructure.
