AI companies were afraid of neural networks

More recently, the leaders of the largest AI companies were excited about how fast their models are getting smarter. Now they are vying to assure that this speed needs to be slowed down a little. The head of Anthropic Dario Amodei published an essay urging competitors to slow down the development of artificial intelligence. He was supported by Sam Altman of OpenAI, Tesla founder Elon Musk and Google DeepMind head Demis Hassabis. Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump were against it.
