Mobile communication of the fifth generation came to Grodno: subscribers of the digital operator Life got access to 5G in the first urban locations. With the launch of the 5G network in Grodno, Life is now in all regional centers of Belarus, and the geography of the technology continues to expand.
To see the icon of the new network on the screens of their devices, subscribers can already in the following locations:
● near Grodno State Agrarian University and Grodno State Electrotechnical College;
● near the street. Proletarian;
● near Lenin Komsomol Boulevard, near the main building of Grodno State Medical University.
The fifth generation network in Grodno will continue to be gradually expanded, opening access to high-speed Internet in new locations. 5G allows you to instantly download “heavy” content, watch videos in maximum definition, stream and play online games without delay.
As the tests show, the maximum speed values tend to the mark of 1000 Mbit / s, moments exceeding it. Access to mobile communication of the fifth generation Life subscribers is provided at no additional cost.
The launch of 5G in Grodno was one of the stages of expanding the capacity and coverage of the digital operator’s network in September. The development of the 5G network continues in all regional centers.
In September, Life also expanded 4G coverage across three frequency bands to more than 30 communities. Among them are the agro-town of Shashka, the city village of Glusk, the villages of Pushki, Trukhonovichi, Bright Way and Kolodezhy, as well as the district centers of Kostyukovichi, Nesvizh and Luban.
In total, 49 base stations across the country were turned on and upgraded in early autumn, which significantly improved the quality of communication for subscribers.
Life together with infrastructure operator beCloud continues to actively develop the network, providing access to 5G. Life was the first in Belarus to launch fifth-generation mobile communications for subscribers and today there are more than 1,100 base stations across the country.
5G works on certain models of Android smartphones. To check the compatibility of the device, you can use a special module. If your smartphone supports the technology, turn it on: Settings → Mobile Network / Connections → Network Type / Preferred Mode → Select the option with 5G/4G/3G/2G support.
