The Center for Fisheries Monitoring System (TSMS) and Communications, subordinated to Rosrybolovstvo, created the Lotia system to predict the fishing situation in the sea using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This was reported by the press service of the CSMS.

Lotia is not a substitute for the crew’s decision. The final choice of the area, production and tactics of fishing remains with the captain, the fishing specialist, sonar readings and the actual situation at sea, said the head of the center Alexander Mikhailov.

The technology combines satellite and oceanographic data, information about catches and the work of the fleet, which helps fishermen to find places of accumulation of fish faster. "Lotia" is tested in the production of iwashi, saury, pollock, Pacific cod and herring. The service creates separate models for each fishing area, species and season. It gives results in the form of five specialized maps.

The third package of measures to combat cyber fraud (Anti-Traffic 3.0) proposes to prohibit the resale of identification modules already provided to the subscriber under a mobile communication contract with the allocation of a number.
