Mobile operator MegaFon has launched options for using 5G Internet on devices that do not support this communication standard. The service allows you to speed up mobile Internet up to 1.6 times, including on the iPhone, as well as use the fifth generation network in places where it is not yet available. The company reported this to TASS.

The four largest Russian operators on September 11 launched 5G in 16 cities of Russia, before the end of the year the technology will appear in 50 more cities. The Ministry said that access to high-speed mobile Internet in the near future will receive users of Android devices.

In the case of the iPhone, the decision depends on Apple, since the American company has not authorized the network for Russian users. The head of the Ministry of information Maksut Shadayev said that the Agency is negotiating with Apple. The T2 operator also reported contacts with the corporation on the matter.
