The preview of the play based on the novel by Alexander Shevtsov “We are from the future” was presented in the Central House of Officers on September 29, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

The action takes place in two timelines: modernity and the period of the Great Patriotic War, August 1942. The main characters were four "black diggers" - Borman, Skull, Chuha and Alcohol. They were engaged in the illegal search for historical artifacts, weapons, ammunition and valuables on the sites of former hostilities. They sold medals, orders, documents and German weapons. Once, at the site of the next excavation, four colleagues in the “black” business found military books belonging to the dead soldiers of the Red Army – and found photos of themselves there. Borman, Skull, Chuha and Alcohol could not believe their eyes. To recover from the incident, the friends went to swim in the lake and were in 1942, in the midst of heavy fighting.

Faced with the enemy, the heroes rethink their attitude to the events of 1941-1945, history itself and their homeland. A real understanding of patriotism comes to them through personal living of the tragedy of the people, making them realize their connection with their fallen grandfathers.

- This show continues the well-established tradition of taking the performances that our pedagogical staff puts together with students of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts and bringing them to the big stage. It involved an acting course recruited for the Russian Theatre. They had a graduation show to which I invited the art council. And it was decided to transfer the thesis to the repertoire of the theater. Eight young artists out of ten recruited for an acting course four years ago have graced our troupe this year. The production “We are from the future” has already been shown at festivals in St. Petersburg and Polotsk. But for our theater this is the premiere, said director Sergei Kovalchik.

The play was staged on the basis of the novel, because the screenplay of the film of the same name directed by Andrei Malyukov was not suitable for the stage.
- I remember how the family of the author of the novel came to the play at the Baltic House in St. Petersburg, and they noted that the production turned out to be even better than the film.

Rehearsals took three months. Within the framework of the republican action “Cultural Map”, the performance will be shown in two more cities in Belarus.
- Every spring I pay tribute to all those guys who went to the front and died. My aunt's son went missing at the time. She survived both the war and the siege of Leningrad. Then many fought, according to her stories before my eyes clearly emerged the events of that time, shared the viewer Tatiana. The story tells us that we are all children of the earth, namely children. The heroes of the production are very young, they did not like, did not work, did not live. And all these “negatives” should be filled for us. And appreciate what we have now. And be responsible for your actions.

The premiere of the performance will take place on the stage of the Central House of Officers on September 30 at 19:00.
