The bright premiere of the new television season on the TV channel “Belarus 1” will be the travel show “Belarus with an Accent” with the British Will Eggerton as a host. Charismatic blogger on the advice of subscribers will go on a trip to a variety of Belarusian cities and villages to explore our history, traditions, sights, businesses, but most importantly - to meet local residents who will help him understand the true nature of "Blakitnavokai". “Belarus with an accent” is a fascinating adventure of a foreigner in Belarus and an opportunity to look at familiar things from a new angle.

- Is there a difference between the British and Belarusians?
- I never knew how to answer that question correctly. In fact, when it comes to mentality, Brits and Belarusians are much closer together than they seem. Maybe Belarusians are more straightforward in the good sense of the word. Yes, in the West we smile more often, we often speak in riddles. But your directness is a very good quality. Belarusians seem a little strict on the outside, but in reality you just need to get to know this man, a Belarusian, and then he will love you with all his heart. In the UK, the opposite is true: people are more two-faced. Following the heroes of the classic novel by Jerome K. Jerome “Three in a boat, not counting the dog”, Will, as befits a real Englishman, loves water and water adventures. The creative team of the project, headed by Deputy General Producer of Belteleradiocompany Olga Salamakha and producers Victoria Stanilevich and Irina Staver, are ready to organize a meeting of Will with their subscribers in any corner of Belarus – on water and on land. And it is directed by a young but already experienced filmmaker Dmitry Soroka. Who knows what Will is thinking, looking at the water, maybe remembering his distant homeland? But from especially memorable locations and adventures Will was impressed by Lake Naroch - the blogger admits that getting acquainted with the pearl of Belarus was an unforgettable event for him:
- It was very cool, the weather was just great. We met good people, they helped us. It was fun, I enjoyed riding a quad bike and a yacht, the emotions just went wild. On your social networks we see that you lead an active lifestyle, you have a recipe how not to burn out emotionally, not to lose interest in life and people? Is it expensive to be on the positive 24/7, to be in touch with strangers?
- Burnout does not threaten me: after all, every day I meet in different cities of Belarus with new interesting people. Every day I try something super interesting. Because of my work on the Belarus with an Accent project, I do not actively blog, I do not post videos on TikTok and Instagram every day, because I often have no time, but this is not a burnout. Will, what qualities, in your opinion, should a travel blogger have to be interesting to the audience and stand out among other bloggers?
- First of all, it is very important to adhere to a certain regimen: I always wake up at the same time and go to bed too. Without a regime, a person will soon be lost. Travel bloggers are now a lot on the Internet, and they all differ from each other in their presentation. There are those who shoot everything in detail and beautifully. The video can last from 10 to 20 minutes. There are those who bet on action. I think I’m more in the second category. In my videos there are always a lot of sharp transitions. It is difficult for me to sit in one place, I am a very active person. My style is reflected in our program. Will admits that he did not expect that in our country he has so many fans – everyone wants to take a picture with a charismatic Briton. And tourists visiting Nesvizh Castle, and visitors to the Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Life in Ozerets, and guests of the "Festival of Science - 2026", which again with great success was held this year in the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus. The wow factor works: the Belarusians of Will know, recognize and have already managed to love. This increased attention does not bother a cheerful guy in a bright salad tracksuit. Perhaps the secret is that Will Eggerton came to us with an open heart, and Belarusians feel it. In just two years, Will's audience has grown in our country at times:
- I first came to Belarus in 2024. I didn’t have many subscribers at the time. I remember the first day of my arrival: only one or two people came up to photograph me, who recognized me through social networks and my content from Moldova and Kazakhstan. When I started posting videos from Belarus, I started to learn more. Belarusians began to subscribe to me. I'm very happy about that.
- What impression do you have of the TV team that works on the Belarus with an Accent project?
- Guys are great! They're all very supportive. Of course, we need to clean ourselves up. Before that, I was only shooting myself and I was always alone, and now I have to get used to working in a team. Eight people behind the scenes and two professional cameramen with big cameras that follow you! I'm a regular blogger. There are all sorts of jokes on the court, but the team withstands them. The premiere of the travel show “Belarus with an Accent” will be held on the TV channel “Belarus 1” on September 26, on Saturday, at 14:30.
