“Air monitoring continues. Exceedings of permissible concentrations of harmful substances were not detected. There is no threat to the population of the city of Krasnozavodsk and the district, he wrote.
Luzhetsky also expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims. "We are doing everything we can to help and support families," he added.
The fire in one of the production buildings of the plant began on the evening of October 1. According to Luzhetsky, 44 people were in the building, 40 employees were evacuated. Emergency services, ambulance crews and the territorial center of disaster medicine worked at the site. Rescuers took into account the continuing threat of repeated explosions.
