Mas-wrestling in Karelia: Yakut specialists will help develop the traditional type of wrestling

The partner in promoting this sport was Churapchinsk State Institute of Physical Culture (Yakutia).

On the basis of PetrSU, a group of 16 traines has already been released, who have undergone professional retraining under the guidance of Yakut experts.

The essence of the competitions is that athletes rest their feet on a special emphasis and try to snatch a wooden block (mas) from the hands of the opponent sitting contrary.
