In 2023, the cl0p group, which according to Reuters is made up of Russian-speaking pirateers, took advantage of a vulnerability in MoVEit file management software to stealing the data of tens of millions of people from more than 600 companies. In August, she claimed to have stolen large amounts of data from nearly 50 companies around the world, including Philips, Shell and GE.
