Entrepreneurs and structures associated with US President Donald Trump, including members of his family, are expanding business interests in the former Soviet republics. Projects in the Caucasus and Central Asia cover real estate, critical minerals and transportation infrastructure.

These initiatives are developing at the same time as the Trump administration’s attempts to increase U.S. economic influence in a region where Washington competes with Russia, China and the European Union. The White House told Bloomberg that the president is acting in the public interest and there is no conflict of interest.

According to the agency, the Trump Organization is involved in the construction of the 280-meter skyscraper Trump Tower Tbilisi - the central part of the development project worth $ 2 billion. Eric Trump said that the company sees Tbilisi as a significant potential international business and investment center.

Another direction was the TRIPP transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Konstantin Sokolov, an American investor with ties to the administration, has headed a $201 million fund to finance transportation, energy and raw materials projects in the region. According to the agreement not yet ratified, the U.S. structure will receive 74% of the route operator, Armenia – 26%.

The interests of the president’s sons extend to mining in Kazakhstan. With the assistance of the US administration, Cove Capital Group received a controlling stake in the country’s largest undeveloped tungsten deposit. This metal is used by the Pentagon in the production of ammunition and shells.

The Trump Tower Tbilisi project was presented in September. The 62-story tower is expected to be completed by 2031. Previously, the structures of trump considered the construction of objects under their brand in Batumi, Baku and Moscow, but these projects were not implemented.

The creation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) was agreed by Armenia, Azerbaijan and the United States in August 2025. It should connect the main territory of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan through Armenia. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the involvement of non-regional players should not create additional difficulties and dividing lines.

In addition, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. entered the Kazakhstan project through a stake in Skyline Builders. After a series of deals, the company got involved in a structure related to the development of tungsten. The American development institutions approved the allocation of projects up to $ 1.6 billion.
