Alice AI is a generative neural network and a smart assistant from Yandex. It works in voice mode on Yandex Stations, TVs (YaOS) and in mobile applications.

Earlier, Yandex reported that due to damage to the data center on the devices of the Station, delays and interruptions in the operation of certain functions are possible. The company also warned of interruptions in the work of “Alice”.

“While recovery is underway, Alice won’t always be able to help you the way she would like,” the voice assistant team said. There it was added that work on the restoration of the functions of "Alice" is ongoing.

On October 8, a fire occurred in the Yandex data center in the city of Sasovo, Ryazan region due to a drone attack, because of which the work of the object was completely stopped. On the morning of October 9, the company reported that part of the infrastructure of the data center in Kaluga was damaged after the drone attack.

Users faced interruptions in the work of search and other applications related to Yandex.

Against the background of attacks on data centers, Yandex has agreed with other cloud providers (Selectel, K2Cloud and VK Cloud) on the accelerated placement of Yandex Cloud data and services. For this purpose, additional teams of specialists were allocated, connection procedures were simplified and flexible financial conditions were provided.
