Russian retailers removed from sale Georgian cola and mineral water
Withdrawal of drinks from sale is associated with the ban on import and sale, received from Rospotrebnadzor. The Agency stated that they do not meet the requirements for physicochemical and safety indicators
Russian retailers removed from the sale of Coca-Cola Georgian production, alcohol and mineral water “Nabeglavi”. This was reported to RBC in the press services of "Ashana" and ACORT.
Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor banned the import and sale in Russia of Georgian alcohol and drinks from a number of manufacturers. Under the ban were: wine of the manufacturer of JSC “Teliani Veli”; wine of the manufacturer of JSC “Tbilvino”; wine and cognac of the manufacturer of LLC “Brothers Ascaneli”; wine of the manufacturer of LLC “Wineman”; beer of the manufacturer of JSC “Georgian Beer Company”; drink non-alcoholic heavily carbonated Coca-Cola from Georgia; mineral water “Nabeglavi” of the manufacturer “Helsey Water”.
According to the agency, the restrictions are a temporary sanitary measure, since these drinks do not meet the established requirements for organoleptic, physico-chemical indicators, as well as safety indicators.
“We confirm receipt of notification from Rospotrebnadzor. All these products were withdrawn from sale in the stores of the retail network, — told RBC in the press service of “Ashana”.
Chairman of ACORT Stanislav Bogdanov also confirmed to RBC receipt of the order of Rospotrebnadzor. According to him, the retail chains included in ACORT have already begun to withdraw these products.
“The safety of the products sold remains a priority for the networks, so they promptly execute the decisions of the regulatory authorities and continue to monitor the situation,” Bogdanov added.
ACORT includes: X5 Group, Magnet, Tape, Auchan, Metro, Globe, O'KEY, ABC of Taste, Maria-Ra and SPAR.
In May, the Ministry revealed in circulation alcoholic products from Armenia that do not meet mandatory requirements, and ordered to suspend its sale in Russia. The products of three Armenian manufacturers fell under restrictions: Vedi-Alko, Abovyan Cognac Factory and Shahnazaryan Wine and Cognac House.
In April, Rospotrebnadzor suspended the import and turnover of certain consignments of mineral water from Armenia “Jermuk” due to the threat to the health of citizens. In the water, an excess of the content of hydrocarbonate - ion, chlorides and sulfates - was detected.
