Aeroflot expects the first deliveries of domestic MS-21 aircraft between September and December 2027. This was stated by the CEO of the company Sergey Alexandrovsky at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the press service of the government reported.

According to Aleksandrovsky, in the spring of 2027, airline employees will begin preparations for the commissioning of new aircraft. “For its part, Aeroflot has fully prepared a program for commissioning this type of MS-21,” the head of the company said.

In September 2026, the airline signed an agreement providing for the delivery of 90 aircraft.

MS-21 is a new generation medium-haul passenger aircraft with a capacity of up to 211 passengers. After 2022, the liner was completely imported. For this purpose, about 80 systems and assemblies were created, including PD-14 engines. The certification of the car will take place next year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in September 2026 took part in the signing ceremony of the contract for the supply of MC-21 aircraft to Aeroflot.
