"Is this on Kanye?" Sergey Lazarev gathered half of the city on a bright show in St. Petersburg and surprised taxi drivers

On October 9, St. Petersburg hosted a large-scale and bright concert by Sergey Lazarev, one of the most famous singers of the Russian stage. He came to the Northern capital with three concerts in a row. One of them was visited by the correspondent of “MK in St. Petersburg” Anna Glazyrina.

Even before the start of the show, St. Petersburg taxi drivers were extremely impressed by the number of people heading to the SKA Arena. They wondered if all these people were going to Kanye West. But the American rapper decided not to come to the Northern capital, but Sergey Lazarev loves this city so much that he even decided to stay. The artist admitted that he was very happy to return to St. Petersburg, which so “vocally” meets him.

The program “Showman”, with which Sergey Lazarev performed last year, included both hits and new compositions. Among them, for example, “So beautiful”, “Surrender”, “Whisper”, “In the heart”. The scene turned into a small Japanese room with flying cherry petals, and a large-scale palace with beautiful statues, and a gloomy place for the struggle of knights, and even in bizarre bright figures.

According to Sergey Lazarev, all this variety reflects his dreams, emotions and fears, and he would like people in the hall to feel special, to recognize themselves in his songs.

At the end of the evening, the singer changed into a simple and modest outfit (very different from past bright images) exclusively in white, sang the last song and to loud sounds of applause and golden confetti said goodbye to St. Petersburg. But not for long: just for a day.
