Just three weeks ago, Fenton signed a new publishing contract. He has also worked on two new film and musical soundtracks.
George Fenton is the author of music for such films as “Gandhi”, “Groundhog Day”, “Dangerous Liaisons”, “The Scream of Freedom”, “Anna and the King”, “At the End of the Day”, soundtracks for BBC series about nature, including David Attenborough’s documentary trilogy (“Blue Planet”, “Planet Earth”, “Frozen Planet”), screensavers for BBC News programs.
The future composer was born in 1949 in the family of a mechanical engineer and a nurse who was a dancer before the war. Both parents played musical instruments. From the age of seven, he began taking electric guitar lessons. George Fenton noted the great influence of the Beatles on his work.
During his career, Fenton has won many awards, including BAFTA, Golden Globe, Emmy and BMI Awards, Classic Brit Awards, and has been nominated five times for an Oscar.
