At the new meeting, together with musician Marina Markova, Daft Punk (16+) will be discussed. In the history of music, disco appeared in the early 1970s in the United States, captured the music charts on both sides of the ocean, but by the end of the decade caused fatigue among listeners and rejection from the rock community. The culmination was “Night of the destruction of disco” in 1979, and in 1980 the genre was even excluded from the nominations “Grammy”.
Later, the French duo Daft Punk, hiding behind robot masks, returned the forgotten genre to the dance floor. The meeting will tell how the musicians resurrected disco and made it relevant for a generation. Talk about Discovery and Random Access Memories albums, and most importantly listen to the best tracks on vinyl. Entrance is free and dancing is allowed.
The event will be held in the Library Gostiny at the address: Arkhangelsk, Uritsky St., 1, 3rd floor, 325. Detailed information - in the Center for cultural and educational programs Dobrolyubovka by phone +7 (981) 560-16-70.
