Chuvash Drama Theatre Successfully Completes Tour in Syktyvkar

Chuvash State Academic Drama Theater named after K.V. Ivanov held a successful tour in the capital of the Republic of Komi from 7 to 9 October in the framework of the Federal program "Great tour" of Rosconcert.

On the stage of the National Musical and Drama Theater of the Republic of Komi, the Chuvash troupe presented three performances: the epic drama “Mother’s Field” based on the novel by Chingiz Aitmatov, the mystical drama “The Ghost of Happiness” based on the play by Valentina Mishanina and the children’s fairy tale “In Search of the Big Bear” by Holly Webb.

Director of the host venue Valentina Sudakova noted that the diverse repertoire of guests won the hearts of viewers of all ages. The visit of Chuvash artists became a bright event in the cultural life of the region and contributed to the strengthening of creative ties between theaters.

The program “Big tours” has been implemented by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation since 2014 to support interregional cultural exchange and increase the availability of theater art for residents of different regions of the country.
