Photo project on science in Sochi reached the final of the award “Crystal Compass”

Photo project “Sochi – City of Science” became a finalist of the “Crystal Compass” award. The author of the series was the press secretary of the Subtropical Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences Eugene Grokh.

The photographer got the scientific everyday life of Sochi: the work of specialists in experimental fields and greenhouses, research in laboratories, as well as archaeological expeditions. The project tells about the scientific life of the city through people who are engaged in research in various directions.

According to the administration of Sochi, the work passed the qualification selection and was among the applicants for the award.

The winners in the main nominations will be determined by the expert council of the award. At the same time, the winner of the award in the category “Public Recognition” will be selected based on the results of online voting.
