In the branch of the "Harmony Club" of the village of Makarovo, a thematic meeting was held dedicated to one of the brightest and most dramatic pages of Russian culture - the poetry of the Silver Age.
The guests were told about the rich heritage of the era and about difficult biographical facts from the lives of poets whose fates were scorched by severe trials of repression. The story was accompanied by a presentation that helped to feel the atmosphere of the time.
The participants of the meeting got acquainted with the works of V. Sharlamov, N. Zabolotsky, O. Mandelstam, Y. Smelyakov, N. Gumilev and A. Akhmatova. The poems of these authors sounded in the performance of the guests themselves – heartfelt and reverent.
The evening was supplemented by the video films “N. Gumilev” and “A. Akhmatova: biography and creativity”.
