The exposition “Vartannya Point” opened in the art gallery of the Minsk Regional Center of Folk Art on October 8, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
Belarusian artist Evgenia Sukhoverkhova finds beauty in every detail. In her garden, she grows flowers, collects them in bouquets corresponding to a certain season or mood. Compositions of tulips, dahlias and peonies are taken as the basis of her paintings, engravings and photographs. In addition to still lifes, Belarusian landscapes are presented at the exhibition. The images created by the author evoke calm and lyrical mood.

Photography, painting, graphics are all part of me. But I studied graphics at the academy. That's where it all started. I really like to create etchings (a type of printed graphics, metal engraving based on deep printing technology). - Author's note. The process of interaction of metal and acid during the work on the engraving resembles magic. Over time, I began to study other areas of art, which allowed me to change the field of activity. All my work is illustrated haiku (genre of traditional Japanese poetry). I write these poems in the Belarusian language. And each of my works is a certain poetic statement, said E. Sukhoverkhova.

The author often decorates his etchings with watercolors, this approach has become a feature of the artist’s work. In painting, she tries to destroy the usual academicism and leans more towards naive art and folklore.
- My skill is not just a profession, but a way of life. One day I found it difficult to do what I have always loved. It was a terrible state. With the help of art, I gradually regain myself. And I hope that, having examined the exhibition, everyone will find something to return to, the artist noted.

In a warm brown scale, like photos from a grandmother’s album, the etching “Song of October” was made. It features three small prints. The first is general, with an autumn landscape. The second shows a fallen leaf, you can see that it trembled for a long time in the wind and because of this it is slightly torn. The third piece of work is the moth. In September, most species hibernate, but there are rare, winter moths that can withstand up to 0 ° C. They can be found in October - November.

The canvas “Inner Garden” depicts a jug with purple-blue field flowers. It's late autumn. The leaves have fallen and lie next to the jug. A thunderstorm is coming. But in the soul of the author continue to grow flowers.

Evgenia is a man with impeccable taste. She's a professional in her field. And he has an amazing hard work. These three components allow it to achieve high results. At the exhibition you can see a variety of types of fine art: etching, painting, photography, wooden sculpture. And each job is not 100 percent, but 1,000 percent. I wish her creative success and strength! Evgenia Sukhoverkhova, my favorite artist, shared her impressions of the exhibition by artist Alena Revyakova-Koshelenko.
The exhibition presents about 50 works.
The exhibition will run until November 1.
