“Lidochka wanted me to know”: why Semina will not come to say goodbye to Shukshina
The death of Lydia Fedoseyeva – Shukshina shocked Russian cinema

People’s Artist of Russia Tamara Semina, who studied with Lydia Nikolaevna at VGIK, expresses condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. In a conversation with the correspondent of “MK” Tamara Petrovna admitted that he will not be able to attend the farewell to a friend of his youth.
- I have a lump in my throat, said Tamara Semina, when she learned from the correspondent of “MK” that Lydia Fedoseyeva-Shukshina is no more – “Lida, Lida”, – through tears lamented Tamara Petrovna. We spent our whole lives together with the same VGIK dormitory where we studied together.
- Remember your acquaintance with Lidia Nikolaevna?
- Yes, how not to remember, she stood in such a simple but elegant dress, from Leningrad came. Lidochka... She never talked about the years she experienced as a child in her hometown. She's always been so cheerful. We all cooked together in our hostel kitchen. Imagine, I recognized Lida when she was still only Fedoseyeva, before marriage. With her husband, Vasya Shushkin, we also studied together at VGIK. After studying, Shushin and I played lovers in the film Two Fedor by Marlen Khutsiev.
- Tamara Petrovna, will you go to say goodbye to Lydia Nikolaevna?
- Now I am far from Moscow, I have no real connection, you miraculously reached me. Apparently, Lidochka wanted me to find out about her departure. Woe. I'm going to go to church today, do everything for the newly-deposed Lydia right now. Please bow to Lidochka from me, her bright memory.
