Metropolitan Isidor met with Vasily Vakulenko in the Assumption Cathedral of Smolensk

On October 24, Metropolitan Isidor of Smolensk and Dorogobuzhsk met with the famous Russian performer Vasily Mikhailovich Vakulenko.

The acquaintance began with a tour of the Assumption Cathedral, where Vladyka personally showed the guest one of the main temples of the city, telling about its history and shrines.

Further dialogue continued in the Smolensk Diocesan Administration. The conversation was also attended by Priest Lev Garin, a dean of the Smolensk city deanery and head of the Administrative Secretariat.

The culmination of the meeting was a special gift: Vasily Vakulenko received from the hands of the archpastor the icon of the Smolensk Mother of God “Odigitria”. The meeting ended in the office of the ruling bishop.
