Young authors of the Pskov region can publish their works in a new literary collection

Until October 29, applications for the contest of the Literary Space project organized by the Pskov City Youth Center continue. Residents of Pskov and the region aged 14 to 35 years, who are fond of literary or artistic creativity, are invited to participate.

This year, the competition is held in five categories: “Best poet”, “Best prose writer”, “Best reader”, “Best illustrator”, as well as a new category – “Best songwriter”. Each of them has two age groups: 14-17 years and 18-35 years.

The selection will take place in several stages. After the initial verification of applications, the authors of prose and poetry will undergo editorial editing with the involvement of a professional philologist, illustrators will have the opportunity to work on the design of the future collection, and readers will speak at a face-to-face audition. The best works will be included in the printed literary collection, the results of which will be summed up in December.

In addition to the competition, the project includes an extensive educational program: literary intensive, special prizes and creative meetings. As the organizer Maria Kamenskaya noted, it is possible to participate in these events without submitting a competitive application: “We invite everyone who wants to find like-minded people, gain new knowledge and show themselves.”.
