Tolstoy Museum will transport 45 thousand exhibits from Moscow to Yasnaya Polyana for 20 million
The State Museum-Reserve of L.N. Tolstoy is preparing a large-scale operation to move museum objects from Moscow vaults to the Yasnaya Polyana estate in the Tula region. More than 20 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

About 45 thousand units of storage are subject to transportation - from a large-sized sculpture to the library fund. The specification for the provision of relevant services has already been prepared, and the deadline for the execution of the contract is determined until December 11, 2026.
The transferred items include 15,000 items of library fund, 1,022 books from the reading room, 855 graphic items, 95 pieces of furniture, 72 paintings, 35 units of large-sized sculpture, 30 frames, 7 pieces of furniture from the Tolstoy Center on Pyatnitskaya department, 12" 49 boxes with doublets without inventory numbers, 91 "Chertkov" boxes with Tolstoy's works and literature about him, 80 folders of the Mediator Foundation.
Negatives and items from Storage No. 23 are also transported. All these are cultural values included in the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation.
Transport routes are laid from two Moscow addresses - St. 11/8 and St. Pyatnitskaya, 12, page 1 - to the estate "Yasnaya Polyana" of the Shchekinsky district of the Tula region. Places of permanent storage in Moscow will become places of departure, and Yasnaya Polyana - a place of temporary storage.
As previously wrote “MK in Tula”, the Museum “Yasnaya Polyana” modernizes the video surveillance system for 3.39 million rubles.
