Orchestra “Onego” conquered Yekaterinburg: Karelia performed for the first time at the Ural Forum of National Orchestras
The IV Ural Forum of National Orchestras of Russia was held in Yekaterinburg. Karelia was first presented by the Onego Orchestra. Colleagues said that our concert was the best at the forum, its highlight, pearl, and at the same time a new Ural gem.
In a free moment, I managed to discover the city, Anna Lesonen told MK in Karelia.
- Yekaterinburg is abbreviated as EKB. In advertising, on magnets, on graffiti, just in conversation. The city is gigantic! Lots of high-rise glass buildings, like you're in New York. EKB is one of hundreds of its kind in the world in the number of high-rise buildings.
Amused the straightforwardness and simplicity of the local business: cafes with the names “Where are you?”, “This is coffee, Karl!”, “Make it simpler”, furs and tans “Cold” etc.
She reached the monument to the computer keyboard (by the way, with the letter E), to the national memorial in honor of the Beatles. I was happy for my colleagues, seeing the luxurious building of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic, and for the cultural life in general - only in the city center counted a dozen theaters.
Walking along the embankment, I decided that from fatigue doubles in my eyes - I look at an earthen mound, and she "breathes." It turned out that the eyes are all right, and the mound is really alive - small mice run out of tiny holes, chew the weed and hide back.
A sad page in the history of the city - the shooting of the royal family. On the site of the Ipatiev house, where on the night of July 17, 1918, the family of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II was shot, a majestic Temple on Blood was erected. Nearby is the Museum of the Royal Family. And on the next street on November 4, a mural in honor of Nicholas II will be solemnly opened. He's very handsome.
Overall, the city is interesting. But I do not like megacities, I have nothing to breathe in them, I am lost from the noise and fuss. Thanks for the hospitality, EKB!
