From national costumes to piano masterpieces: what prepared Sochi for the “Night of Arts”

In Sochi, on November 3, the All-Russian action “Night of Arts” will be held. The program will include concerts, exhibitions, excursions, lectures and creative master classes. The events will be timed to the Day of National Unity and dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

More than 40 cultural institutions of the resort will join the action. In total, more than 70 events are planned that will acquaint residents and tourists with the history, traditions and art of different peoples of the country.

“Night of Arts” will unite different formats – from musical performances and film screenings to ethnoquises and interactive excursions. The events will also be attended by national creative teams of Sochi, said the head of the Department of culture of the city administration Marianna Ustinova.

In the Central district, one of the events will be the concert “Pin Piano Masterpieces” in the Hall of Organ and Chamber Music named after Alice Debolskaya.

The Museum of the History of the resort city of Sochi has prepared several events. There will be an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Yuri Novikov, interactive programs “In the unity of cultures – the power of the people” and “Journey through the museum” will be held. There will also be a meeting with Sochi artist and sculptor Hakob Khalafyan.

The Dmitry Zhilinsky Art Museum organizes excursions about the main trends of Russian fine art. The Nikolai Ostrovsky Museum invites you to lectures, concerts and excursions to the permanent exhibition.

In the areas of the resort, the program will be devoted to the cultural diversity of Russia. In the Museum of History of Adler district, a concert, an exhibition, a master class and a musical living room are planned. An exhibition will open in the museum of Khostinsky district, an art master class, a musical interactive event and lectures “Our Caucasian Neighbors” and “Preserve, multiplying” will be held.

In the house of culture "Aelita" will perform local creative teams. The Center for National Cultures of Lazarev district will present exhibitions of national costumes, decorative and applied arts and painting. In the house of culture "Dagomys" will open a thematic exposition and will host a festive program "One song - one destiny".

Cognitive and entertaining events have also prepared district houses of culture and libraries. A detailed program of the action is published in the appendix to the announcement.

Arts Night brings together cultural venues across the country every year. In Sochi, the event will be an opportunity to get acquainted with the traditions of different peoples and see how art helps to preserve cultural heritage and strengthen mutual understanding.
