In the Tula region opened a virtual gallery of clay toys "Toy 360", where traditional products of folk craftsmen can be studied in 3D format. The project of the Association of Centers for the Development of Culture of the Region became the first virtual interactive gallery of this type in Russia, the press service of the Tula Ministry of Culture told MK in Tula.
And then they added that its goal is to preserve and popularize the cultural heritage of the Tula province of the XVIII-XIX centuries.
In the digital space, information was collected about the history of fishing, places of its development and exhibition, as well as about masters and their works. To create the gallery, experts studied the archives, updated the database of masters, photographed the exhibits and prepared their three-dimensional models and digital copies recorded in the blockchain.
The collection includes more than 50 clay toys from the collection of the Association of Centers for Cultural Development of the Tula region. The exposition is divided into two categories: Filimonovskaya and Tula City.
The main feature of the gallery is the ability to view each toy from all sides. A three-dimensional model can be rotated with a mouse on a computer or a finger on a smartphone screen, studying the shape, ornament and painting. Users can also download the model for free and print the figure on a 3D printer, and then paint it yourself.
In addition, traditional Tula fisheries are presented in the format of NFT tokens in the Polygon blockchain network. These digital assets can be purchased. On the project website, an entry is also available for master classes on modeling and painting toys.
You can get acquainted with the collection on the website of the virtual gallery: igrushka.ocktula.ru.
Earlier, “MK in Tula” wrote about the formation of a regional register of masters of folk art crafts. For the sake of this initiative, last Thursday, October 8, a meeting of the art and expert council was held at the Center for Folk Art of the Association of Centers for Cultural Development, whose participants appreciated the works of masters of traditional crafts.
