Russians are increasingly choosing for November holidays domestic tourism with a sightseeing focus

Russians are increasingly choosing for November holidays domestic tourism with a sightseeing orientation. This was told by TASS Associate Professor of the Plekhanov REU Roman Gareev. According to the expert, trips to historical places are especially in demand in 2026.
Among the leaders of demand are routes along the Golden Ring (Suzdal, Vladimir, Yaroslavl, Kostroma), as well as Veliky Novgorod, Pskov and Izborsk. Tourists are attracted by the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history and architecture of these cities. Also popular are Karelia, the Caucasus (Pyatigorsk, Elbrus), river cruises from St. Petersburg along the Upper Volga and short tours to the Moscow region.
Recall that in 2026, National Unity Day falls on Wednesday, November 4. The working week will be divided by a holiday: Russians will work on November 2 and 3 (and November 3 is a shortened day), and then on November 5 and 6.
