Nikita Mikhalkov recorded a video appeal to Yekaterinburg in support of the film “Two in one life, not counting the dog”. A closed screening of the picture and a meeting with the audience took place on November 6 in the office of Sima Land. The director personally did not come to the meeting, but sent warm words to the author of the film Andrei Zaitsev, whom he called his student.
Mikhalkov admitted that he was proud of Zaitsev’s work. They have been working with the Besogon Project team for many years.
As a director and screenwriter, he’s one of the few people who doesn’t want to be fashionable. He shoots his film, full of meanings, which he loves, understands, knows and defends, said Nikita Mikhalkov.
He also recalled that the performers of the main roles Svetlana Kryuchkova and Alexander Adabashyan received the Diamond Butterfly award last year. Mikhalkov expressed hope that the audience in Yekaterinburg appreciated the picture.
Two in One Life, Apart from Dogs (12+) tells the story of an elderly St. Petersburg couple. My husband and wife survived the Great Patriotic War. For a long life, they have retained wisdom, calmness, optimism and the ability to forgive. Their heroes are drawn to people who lack warmth, support and participation.
The film has already visited more than 30 film festivals and collected about 30 awards. Among them are seven grand prix, six audience awards and seven awards for acting.
Earlier, “MK-Ural” wrote that the composer from Yekaterinburg Konstantin Komoltsev invented a musical instrument specifically for the documentary film Sverdlovsk film studio “Kosi, Spit”. With his help, he wanted to create a special sound that connects the past and the present.
