Culture and education of the Republic of Tyva suffered an irreparable loss: on September 22, on the 78th year of life, Lyubov Nikolaevna Huurakai, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia and the Republic of Tyva, the first director of the Republican School of Arts named after R. D. Kendenbil, died. Lyubov Nikolaevna was at the origins of the creation of this unique educational institution. In 1978, she recruited the first talented children from all regions of the republic - 30 gifted children entered the music and art department. For the first two years, the school staff consisted of virtually one person: Lyubov Nikolaevna was both a director, an educator, and an interpreter, since many children from the districts did not speak Russian. Teaching of special and general subjects was conducted by teachers of the Kyzyl School of Arts and school No. 2.
Thanks to her energy and perseverance, the school found its face: relations were established with the Novosibirsk and Kazan special music schools, the most talented students continued their studies there and returned to the republic with trained specialists. The first graduates were sent to the Frunze (now Bishkek) Choreographic School. Many of them later became honored workers and artists of the culture of Tuva and Buryatia.
All her working life – 46 years – Lyubov Nikolaevna dedicated to the Republican School of Arts. Even after going on a well-deserved rest, she continued to be interested in the life of her native institution, staying abreast of all events.
She expressed her calling as follows:
“I am happy when I see the spiritualized faces of children, look into their clear eyes, hear clean and slender voices. I believe that the love of music will make them strong in life, teach goodness and beauty. School is my whole life
Civil service and farewell will be held on September 24 from 10:00 in the building of the Tuvan State Philharmonic.
