In Almaty presented “Introduction to Olzhasoscience”

The project took place

For some time I have been watching a project that combines deep knowledge, love of the subject, modern interactive formats and the desire to speak to the new generation in a language that they understand. Such aspirations bring back the belief that education can be alive, culture can be modern, and interest in the legacy of outstanding people can be genuine and passionate.

The best intellectuals of the modern world worked on the book. As Catherine Pujol, a French professor of Central Asian history and civilizations at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO), said of Olzhas Suleimenov, “Olzhas Suleimenov is faster than artificial intelligence.”.

The editorial board of the publication consisted of I. Krupko, E. Kanapyanov, V. Zhandauletov, N. Isayev. Igor Krupko, Doctor of Philosophy, Deputy Director of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO, noted at the opening of the conference: “Today, after several years of testing in universities and schools, we officially present the first textbook “Introduction to Oljasology”. It's just an introduction. We are only at the beginning of the journey.

And I inevitably compare this to the situation around studying the classics of America or Russia. Each year the lives of Tolstoy, Hemingway or Chekhov are studied by day. Every detail of their lives, every open fact becomes a jewel of the culture to which they belong (and they belong to the world culture), and carefully studied by scientists, overgrown with museums. Their lives are a national treasure. And I dream that the life of the wonderful ideas of Olzhas Suleimenov will be opened to new generations, once again confirming the formulation of ult igiligi (national treasure), once very accurately proposed by Yerulan Kanapyanov. We were so lucky to be the contemporaries of the genius who gave this land so generously.

From pure source

The textbook begins with the stories of Olzhas Suleimenov himself “Lessons of Mother”. To it, as to each individual chapter, philosophical questions are given, over which it is recommended to reflect on the new generation, creative and research tasks are offered.

The textbook ends with a philosophical reflection that we are privileged to live in the age of slander.

And in the foreword written by Yerulan Kanapyanov, President of the Eurasian Foundation for Culture, Academician of the Academy of Journalism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, there are such important words: “From the entire heritage of our great compatriot Olzhas, a multifaceted and full-fledged scientific and educational discipline should be formed – oljasoscience, which has the right to take a place along with Confucianism, Gandism, tagorology, fatness, abaye studies and other systemic world teachings.”.

Conference on Research

The purpose of the conference was to comprehend the ideological, literary, scientific and philosophical heritage of the Central Asian intelligentsia on the example of Olzhas Suleimenov’s discoveries and to develop practical mechanisms for their inclusion in the modern cultural and educational process at the national and global levels in order to revive the reading nations.

Olzhas Suleimenov himself addressed the participants of the meeting with such a covenant: In the XXI century, humanity has only one choice to survive - interdependence. Aware of this, the Chinese leader proposed to consider humanity as a community of common destiny.

We also understand that the common destiny of humanity today can be reduced instantly. Collected all the time in millennia, this fate in a few seconds can be stopped altogether! Such an end does not suit us, the people on this earth. No people, no humanity.

No one deserves their city and street to be the address of their next nuclear explosion. The clan cry – for the happiness of our children! – once justified the extermination of a foreign race. When humanity was sharply divided into “we” and “not us”.

Surprisingly, this primitive alternative is still being introduced into consciousness today.

Only together, supporting each other, do we pass the test of our ability to survive. In the language of politicians, this should sound like the alphabet and work like a multiplication table. Only then will people stop sharing so deadly!

I salute you all and wish that our history will leave humanity with such lessons, bringing nations closer together rather than dividing them.”.

The conference, like the publication of the textbook, would not have been possible without the support of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation. Olzhas Omarovich spoke about the creation of meanings at the conference Ainur Karbozova, General Director of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation.

Zainidin Kurmanov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of History and Social Studies from Kyrgyzstan presented the study “From National Self-Consciousness to Conscious Interdependence: The Evolution of Intellectual Thought in Central Asia through the Perspectives of Chingiz Aitmatov and Olzhas Suleimenov.”.

Nur Kirabayev, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Advisor to the Rector of Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia for Scientific Activities, Head of the Department of History of Philosophy, presented his research on the topic “In Search of Understanding the Dialogue of Cultures in a Situation of Cultural Misunderstanding”.

Pulat Shozimov, a professor at the University of Central Asia from Dushambe, devoted his report to the topic of intellectual history of Central Asia in the context of AI development. Rustam Muzafarov, Deputy Chairman of the National Committee for the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan of UNESCO, also noted in his speech the importance of conducting cultural dialogues, to which Olzhas Omarovich calls the whole world. Svetlana Ananyeva, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Head of the International Department of the M.O. Auezov Institute of World Literature, spoke about the concepts of knowledge and reading.

At the conference, there were many magnificent in the power of thought and content of speeches by representatives of different countries, and the poetry of Olzhas sounded in many languages of the world.

Sagymbay Kabashevich Kozybayev, President of the Academy of Journalism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, MD, professor, speaking about Olzhas Suleimenov, noted: “He never divided people by nationality, views or origin. The ideas of Olzhas Suleimenov bring people together. All its activities are always aimed at strengthening mutual understanding, peace and harmony between people. In his works and social activities, he consistently advocates the dialogue of cultures, the preservation of spiritual values and respect for man.

Oljas Omarovich is one of those rare individuals who, thanks to their talent, wisdom and civic position, become the property of not only their country, but also the whole world.”.

The event goes far beyond the presentation of one educational publication. “Introduction to the study of olzhasov” is the beginning of a new scientific and educational direction designed to preserve, comprehend and pass on to future generations the intellectual heritage of Olzhas Suleimenov.

Thus, through word, knowledge and historical memory, a space is formed in which the culture of the past becomes the foundation of the future. Therefore, the appearance of the first in the history of the country and the world of textbooks on olzhasovych can be considered not only as an important step in the national humanitarian science, but also as a landmark event in the cultural history of Kazakhstan.

The name of Olzhas Suleimenov has long outgrown the framework of one creative biography. It became part of the intellectual code of the era, a link between cultures, languages and civilizations. Now this phenomenon gets its own scientific and educational perspective – the opportunity to study, explore and discover it anew.

History is created not only by significant dates and high-profile events. Sometimes it starts with a book. And perhaps today we are witnessing a moment when one book opens the way to a whole line of knowledge, and the name of one thinker becomes the subject of systematic study for future generations.

Resolution

The conference adopted a resolution that formulated the following main proposals:

- to begin at the institutional level the process of understanding the ideological, literary, scientific and philosophical heritage of the Central Asian intelligentsia, including the experience of acquiring historical subjectivity, and the development of practical mechanisms to include them in the modern cultural and educational process in order to revive the reading nations;

- to introduce historical and linguistic discoveries of O. Suleimenov into scientific circulation, as well as to initiate, with the support of interested countries and organizations, program-targeted funding for a research project with the aim of developing and institutional development at the international level of such a scientific and educational discipline as oljasology;

- to include the main provisions of the philosophy of conscious interdependence of O. Suleimenov in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as a global philosophical doctrine aimed at the humanization of international relations and the rapprochement of cultures in the XXI century;

- to include in the calendar of significant and memorable dates 19 October 1989 as the day of the stop of tests at the Semipalatinsk test site and the beginning of an international moratorium on nuclear tests in the world;

Call on all interested scientific and cultural organizations to take part in the further work of the International Organizing Committee for the nomination of Olzhas Suleimenov for the Nobel Peace Prize, established in 2026, as the first Nobel laureate from Central Asia.
