Creative laboratory “Living thread” was held in the Center of Culture

The Center for Culture hosted a creative laboratory “Living thread” for specialists of cultural institutions from different municipalities of the Smolensk region.

The event was held by Elena Ledneva, head of the ethnographic theater-studio "Alyonushki" from Smolensk. The participants immersed themselves in the history of folk costume and sewed “Zipun Smolensky” with their own hands – traditional clothes for dolls, which they made in previous classes.

In the process of sewing, women created bright outfits from colorful fabrics, decorated with elegant braiding, and also communicated: they shared stories and discussed folk traditions, signs and holidays. As a result, the soulful and colorful zipoons were obtained.
