On the Day of National Unity, the Pskov Philharmonic will host a concert of the festival of sacred music

On November 4, the Grand Concert Hall of the Pskov Regional Philharmonic will host a concert of the annual festival “On the Divine Guard of the Fatherland: History and Cultural Heritage of the Monasteries of Russia”. The event is held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Church and Public Council under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, the Ministry of Culture of the Pskov region and the Pskov diocese.

Pskov is one of the oldest cities in Russia, which for centuries stood guard over faith and the state. On the Day of National Unity, the concert will be a tribute to the military and spiritual feats of Pskov citizens. Spectators are waiting for a unique program in which spiritual and secular music, legends and past will come to life in the performance of the best bands of the region. Specially created video series will allow you to immerse yourself in the ancient history of Pskov.

Onstage:

• The Bishops’ Choir of the Holy Dormition of the Pskov-Pechersk Monastery (regent – Marina Vladimirtseva);

• Grand Children’s Choir of the Pskov Diocese (Regent – Marina Vladimirtseva);

• Governor's Symphony Orchestra of the Pskov region (conductor - Eduard Banko).

The author of the script and the host of the evening is candidate of philosophical sciences Sergey Kruglikov.

The concert starts at 19:00. Age limit: 12+.
