In Klin, in the State Memorial Musical Museum-Reserve of P. I. Tchaikovsky, the official presentation of the fifteenth volume of the academic complete collection of the composer’s works took place. The publication was prepared by joint efforts of museum staff and specialists of the State Institute of Art History.
The key topic of the meeting was the history of work on the score of the new volume. Scientific editor of the publication Daniil Petrov told the audience about how researchers recreated the full musical notation of the works included in the publication. The museum noted that this project was the result of a large-scale cooperation with the Institute of Art History.
Among the guests of the presentation were participants of the All-Russian Cello Academy - they were presented with copies of the new volume as a gift. After the official part, the musicians gave a concert in the museum hall, performing works by Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Saint-Saëns and Tchaikovsky.
The presentation was included in the program of commemorative events dedicated to the composer. Earlier, guests and employees of the museum laid flowers at the monument to Tchaikovsky, and visitors could hear his works performed by a student of the Academic Music School at the Moscow Conservatory Anna Evstafieva, who played the piano in the composer’s living room.
