In the Penza Regional Library named after M.Y. Lermontov, the platform of the International Educational Action “Big Ethnographic Dictation” was held. The purpose of the action is not only to test knowledge, but also to awaken interest in the history, customs and culture of the peoples of Russia. The choice of the library is not accidental: it stores books in the languages of the peoples of the region, holds events of national and cultural autonomies, and the Center of the Presidential Library opens access to digital copies of publications on ethnography.
This year, the dictation in Lermontovka was written by students of the College of Architecture and Construction and library readers. They had to answer 30 federal questions. A feature was video questions from the participants of the SVO and representatives of the peoples of Russia. The results will be summed up on December 12, 2026, on Constitution Day of the Russian Federation.
The exhibition “Many Peoples – One Country!” from the library funds was held at the site. After submitting the forms, the staff of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library held a team quiz about proverbs, musical instruments, rituals and cuisine of peoples. Participants received certificates and took pictures in the photo zone.
