Serpukhov celebrated the Day of the Military Space Forces and the anniversary of the launch of the first satellite
Young residents of the village of Obolensk, the City District of Serpukhov learned about the conquest of space and with their own hands collected the legendary Sputnik-1.

In the House of Culture of the village of Obolensk, an educational event was held, timed to coincide with two significant dates: Day of the Russian Space Forces and the anniversary of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite.
The organizers prepared for children an exciting program dedicated to the history of space exploration. The children plunged into the exciting world of stars and rockets, learning a lot about the role and tasks of the Military Space Forces, which today ensure the security of the country from orbit.
Special attention was paid to a historical event that changed the course of history. On October 4, 1957, humanity opened the space age by sending the first artificial satellite into orbit. To consolidate the knowledge gained, the theory went into practice: the participants of the event with their own hands created models of artificial satellites of the Earth.
Children with great effort and interest worked on crafts, striving to exactly repeat the look of the legendary Sputnik-1. The result exceeded expectations - each has its own little symbol of a great breakthrough.
The event was held as part of the school holidays, giving children not only new knowledge, but also a lot of positive emotions from creativity.
