In the park "Southern cultures" on the federal territory of Sirius was a cultural and historical holiday dedicated to the 116th anniversary of the foundation.
Residents and guests became participants in the program, which was designed in the spirit of the early XX century. From the very morning, music was playing in the park, and ladies in floor dresses and gentlemen in costumes walked along the alleys - as it was more than a century ago.
For adults and children, excursions, lectures on resort fashion and the history of that time, as well as master classes were prepared. The festival ended with an open-air concert.
The park was founded in 1910 on the lands of the estate of General Drachevsky. The project was developed by the St. Petersburg landscape architect A. E. Regel. Now in the "Southern cultures" grows more than 650 species of plants, among which there are magnolias of Carpoon and Delaware, Davidia Wilmoren, as well as some species of maples and cherries.
