Sochi summed up the work of cultural institutions for 2026 and discussed the further development of urban infrastructure. The extended glider meeting was held by the head of the resort Andrey Proszubnin. The focus was on the implementation of national projects, support for creative teams and the modernization of libraries.
In 2026, three children's schools of further education received musical instruments, equipment and educational literature. To update the material and technical base, 13.7 million rubles were allocated within the framework of the regional project “Family Values and Infrastructure” of the national project “Family”.
According to Andrey Prosbynin, the city pays attention not only to holding major festivals, but also to creating conditions for the daily participation of residents in cultural life. One of the priorities was the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia: institutions organize thematic programs, meetings and patriotic events. In total, more than 350 events were included in the city plan.
In institutions of cultural and leisure type there are about 400 amateur groups, uniting more than 15 thousand participants. Of these, 48 teams have the title of “People’s Amateur Collective”, another 67 – “Exemplary Art Collective”.
Since the beginning of the year, Sochi artists have performed at 250 festivals and competitions of various levels. More than 400 participants became winners and laureates of these events.
A separate direction is patriotic education of young people. Cultural institutions hold meetings with veterans and participants of a special military operation, who tell schoolchildren and students about the military history of the country and the exploits of Russian servicemen.
Six institutions of cultural and leisure type also organize film screenings and annually join the All-Russian action “Cinema Night”.
The library network of Sochi unites 49 institutions that are part of three centralized library systems. According to the city administration, this year the funds of municipal libraries were replenished with 12.5 thousand copies of books.
Interest in library events is also demonstrated by the Biblionoch campaign: this year about 4.5 thousand residents of the resort took part in it.
In 2027, the authorities intend to continue the development of library infrastructure. The plans include the creation of a youth literary club “Between the Lines” in the Lazarev centralized library system and a children’s cultural and educational center on the basis of the Centralized Library System of the Adler district. Grants are provided for the implementation of projects.
The changes affect not only the material base, but also the organization of work. The centralized library system of Sochi has implemented a project to automate planning and task management in the preparation of cultural events.
The practice was implemented within the framework of the federal project “Labor productivity” of the national project “Effective and competitive economy”.
The further development of the cultural sphere involves the preservation of historical heritage, the support of local teams and the creation of new opportunities for the creative development of residents of different ages.
