In Tarkhan will celebrate the 212th birthday of Lermontov

On October 15, the Tarkhany Museum-Reserve invites you to the festive program “Nothing Changes the Great...”, dedicated to the 212th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Lermontov. Traditionally, the celebrations will begin with laying flowers on the grave of the poet in the second complex of the museum at 13:00.

At 13:40 in the administrative building of the estate, a solemn cancellation of the envelope issued for the 125th anniversary of the birth of A.I. Khramov - the first director of the Lermontov house-museum in Tarkhany will take place. This ceremony will connect different eras of the history of the museum.

At 14:00 guests are waiting for the environmental action "Tarkhans". Far garden. Restoring the garden, which remembers the steps of young Michel, the participants will help to preserve the living memory of the estate. Each planted tree will be a gift to the poet.

The central event will be a theatrical reading of the poem “Demon”. In the year of the 170th anniversary of the first full publication of the work, the St. Petersburg theater of drama and tragicomedy Artel-SPb will present its view on the classics. The performance, staged by Maxim Veselov, combines psychological drama, pantomime and choreography. The pantomime part was prepared by Ekaterina Varlakova. The program will be supplemented by the Lermontov exhibition. The Last Poems", which continues to work in the museum and educational center. 2026 is the 185th anniversary of the death of the poet, and the exhibition helps to better understand the tragically early departure of the classic. Activities are designed for different age categories: 6+, 12+.
