In Tula, a giant gingerbread and samovar met the tourist train “Taste of the era”

This Saturday, October 10, at the Moscow railway station in Tula, tourists were greeted by a giant gingerbread and samovar, as well as the performance of the People’s Ensemble of the Russian song “Tula dance”. Passengers were able to take pictures with growth dolls representing regional brands, told MK in Tula in the press service of the regional government.
The tourist train runs on the route Moscow - Tula and Yasnaya Polyana - Yelets - Moscow. Railway travel is organized by the company "RZD Tour".
In Tula, guests will walk through the historical center, as well as visit the Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate and the house of Leo Tolstoy.
According to the Minister of Tourism of the Tula region Elena Martynova, railway travel is becoming more popular among tourists coming from Moscow and St. Petersburg. On behalf of Governor Dmitry Milyaev, the region plans to actively develop this direction.
Now the region is also preparing for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Leo Tolstoy. In particular, the railway stations associated with the life and work of the writer are being reconstructed.
Within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality” and the Memorandum of Cooperation, which the Government of the Tula Region and Russian Railways signed in September, joint projects are planned to increase transport accessibility and tourist attractiveness of the region. Among them are the overhaul of the Tula-1 station complex, the modernization of the infrastructure of the Bakunin Tula Children's Railway and the Oniki Children's Park in Novomoskovsk.
Earlier, “MK in Tula” reported on the plans of the government of the Tula region to purchase souvenirs for 875 thousand rubles. On the website of public procurement in September published five tenders for 175 thousand rubles each. In total, it is planned to purchase 25 gift sets in baskets of natural vine.
