In Tula will open an exhibition where art can be felt by the touch

On October 14, the Art Foundation in Tula will open the exhibition “Music in Color”, which will combine painting, musical instruments and author’s fragrances. The project was prepared by the Tula Museum Association and the Russian National Museum of Music. It will be possible to visit the exhibition until January 17, the press service of the Tula Museum Association told MK in Tula.

The exhibition is based on the idea that painting can convey not only images, but also sounds, emotions and sensations. The creators of the project turn to the innovative concepts of Wassily Kandinsky and his idea of the kinship of different types of art. At the exhibition, lines, colors, sounds and volumes are formed into a single artistic space, where painting seems to acquire a voice.

The central place is occupied by two exhibits reflecting the artistic search of the XX century: the theremin - an electric musical instrument created by Lev Theremin - and the painting by Vasily Kandinsky "Musical Overture". Purple wedge. They embody the main idea of the project - the combination of invisible sound and visible music in painting.

The exhibition is conceived as a multisensory journey involving vision, hearing, smell and touch. Visitors will be able not only to view works of art, but also to interact with the exhibition, feeling the atmosphere and energy of artistic experiments of the last century.

To complement the impressions will help two author's perfume compositions created based on the main exhibits. The fragrances were called “Etherophon” and “Trying to wedge”. They are designed to convey the spirit of the era and become another way to get to know art through sensations, the organizers say.

The exhibition "Music in Color" will be held at the Art Foundation at: Tula, 64 Friedrich Engels Street, Building 1.
