The priest was brutally killed by bayonets in 1918. Konstantin Snyatinovsky was respected by the citizens. After his death, unrest occurred in Pereslavl.
Konstantin Snyatinovsky was canonized in 2001 by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church. He is called a Russian priest and confessor.
The body, that is, the relics of the Hieromartyr, was found by archaeologists of the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) during excavations near the architectural monument of the Church of Peter Metropolitan. The Holy New Martyr Konstantin Snyatinovsky was the rector of this church.
Before the excavations at the site of the alleged burial, a prayer service was held before the start of a good deed.
The found remains were given to scientists for study and attribution. Specialists will conduct anthropological and molecular genetic studies that will confirm the identity of the found remains.
Before the excavations began, careful archival work was carried out, during which the burial place was established and the life path and history of the service of the new martyr were clarified.
