Volgograd Book Festival entered the 100 best practices of Russia
Volgograd Gorky Book Festival is among the best library projects of the country
According to the Committee of Culture of the region, the project "Book Festival" Volgograd Regional Universal Scientific Library named after M. Gorky won the All-Russian competition of best practices of libraries - it is held within the framework of the national project "Family".
Out of 470 applications from institutions from 80 subjects of the Russian Federation, only 100 organizations became winners: they will receive federal funding for the implementation of their initiatives. Volgograd Festival took the first place in the nomination "Cultural and educational projects" - this guarantees the event in 2027.
The festival has long been a major regional event: the number of visitors is growing annually, and tourists come for it from other regions. All 16 sites of the library with a total area of 2.6 thousand square meters are involved in the organization, as well as open spaces – including the summer reading room “Air”.
