The exhibition of the book collection of Valentin Elizarev will open in the National Library on October 13

The opening of the exhibition "Pages of a great fate: the book collection of Valentin Elizarev as a gift to the National Library of Belarus" will be held in the "Diamond of knowledge" on October 13, the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-Novosti" with reference to the press service of the institution.

The initiator of the transfer of valuable materials was the legendary choreographer himself - People's Artist of the USSR, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus and outstanding teacher Valentin Elizarev. As a gift to the main library of the country, he gives documents from his personal collection dedicated to the history of ballet, music and art.

The collection includes printed materials published from the end of the XIX century to the present day. Among them are monographs, albums, books, notes, theater programs, booklets and posters. Special historical value of the collection is given by gift inscriptions and autographs of famous choreographers, artists and authors.

The unique personal fund will allow us to trace the development of choreographic art for more than a hundred years and will become a source of information for all who are interested in the history of world and Belarusian ballet.

The solemn transfer of the collection and the opening of the exhibition will take place at 12:00 in the atrium of the second floor. Entry is free.
