South Urals performed well at the festival of street culture

In Vladivostok, the Grand Final of the International Competition-Awards of Street Culture and Sports “KARDO” of the Presidential Platform “Russia is a Land of Opportunities” was completed. The winners of the IX season were 135 people from 28 countries and 31 regions of Russia. Among them are representatives of the Chelyabinsk region. In total, more than 500 people from 70 countries participated in the final, and a record 85,000 participants registered for the competitive program of the season. For nine years, the project brought together about 300 thousand representatives of street culture from 195 countries.

From the southern Urals, three awards were brought. Stas Zdanevich took first place in the Best Universal category and second place in Best Static. Timofey Nikitin also became the best in two categories at once – Best Dynamic and Best Trick Dynamic. Kirill Shchapin in the BMX took third place in the PRO category.

Andrey Betin, General Director of the Presidential Platform “Russia is a Land of Opportunities” and Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop, congratulated the winners and finalists. He noted that behind each name there is a long way in a season, and the "CARDO" has grown into a large-scale international community in nine years. It is important that the point of attraction of this community is Russia, where street culture and sports receive support from the first steps to the international level. That is why people from different countries come here for experience and new opportunities.

At the Grand Final they competed in 13 disciplines. Extreme sports are BMX, rollerblading, scooter and skateboarding. Street sports - tripping, workout, freerand and parkour. Street culture - DJing, graffiti, rap, hip-hop and breaking. Participants also defended projects, studied and performed in the cultural program. The prize fund of the IX season exceeded 7 million rubles.

The IX season of the competition-awards of street culture and sports "KARDO" of the Presidential Platform "Russia is a country of opportunities" is held on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation in the framework of the national project "Youth and Children".
