The award in the nomination “Best debut” was received by director Tim Anisimov. For the Murmansk region, the victory is especially pleasant: in the spring of 2025, the picture was shot on the Kola Peninsula under the working title “On Fish”. Filming took place in April on the Terek coast, in Kandalaksha and Umba. About a hundred local residents participated in mass scenes and episodes.
“There Wasn’t” is a road drama about a trip to the Kola Peninsula and the search for his father. In the main competition of the festival, the film was presented among 11 full-length films.
The festival ended in Gelendzhik on October 8. The main prize – Grand Prix for the best film – received the picture “Malik” directed by Natalia Uvarova.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that Murmansk road drama was shown in the main competition of the festival “Mayak”.
