The personal photo exhibition of Alexander Semenovich “Z photosaparatam pa zhyzzi” opened in the cinema “Raketa” on October 28, reports the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
- The exhibition presents 28 works of different subjects, but most of the pictures from sports events. At one time I had the opportunity to work as an interpreter in international competitions. I always carried a camera and a video camera with me and filmed everything, Semenovich said.
The author likes to photograph people, but often nature, architecture, monuments and sights get into the lens of his camera. In addition, he travels around Belarus as part of excursion groups and takes photos in different cities.

- I don’t like pictures, they’re as if they’re dead. Much more interesting is an unexpected picture taken without warning. At such moments, people can communicate, read, perform complex pirouettes in the air and so on, said Semenovich.
The author began taking photographs as a child. He took the camera from his father and started shooting everything around him. Then he left his hobby for a long time and returned to it only in old age. In addition, A. Semenovich wrote poetry. When he retired, he began to actively engage in theatrical activities.

- By profession, I was a teacher of French and German. He worked in rural school for only three years. Then I was elected secretary of the Myadel Komsomol district committee. Then he served in the army. And after I was invited to work in the Central Committee of the Komsomol of the BSSR, the source said.

In 2019, A. Semenovich joined the photo club “Positive” at the Central Library named after Y. Kupala, which is headed by Nikolai Linnik.
- To become a part of our creative association, you need to be a reader of the Central Library named after Y. Kupala and be able to take photographs. Our participants are not professionals: no one has a special education. We have people from many different fields. Most of the older generation. Our photographers are exhibited mainly in the state public libraries of Minsk. We organize exhibitions almost every month. There are personal ones. For example, Alina Galuso once presented photos of still lifes, and Julia Lisetskaya – pictures of temples and castles of Belarus, – said N. Linnik.

There are no restrictions for authors. By age, too. The youngest member of the photo club is 46 years old, and the oldest is 80. Come to the creative association and the disabled. There are three in the club. It is not necessary to have a professional camera. It is much more important to have the skill of photography, and you can practice it using any technique, even taking pictures on a mobile phone.
The exhibition runs until November 15.
